CM Punk – In June, CM Punk revealed his contract would expire at Money in the Bank and vowed to leave the company with the WWE Championship. Two weeks later at Money in the Bank, CM Punk defeated John Cena to become the WWE Champion on his “final night under contract with WWE”.
Sin Cara – On July 18, Sin Cara participated in the second annual Money in the Bank PPV, but was unsuccessful in winning the ladder match to earn a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity, after being taken out of the match with a storyline injury.
